The Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival is a rain-or-shine event. Our lanterns are built to withstand all weather; however, severe weather or lightning within a 20-mile radius of Franklin Square can pose a safety concern for our guests and staff. This may cause us to pause the Festival.
If the Festival reopens within an hour, we are unable to offer refunds. If we are forced to close for longer than 60 minutes, guests may reschedule their ticket(s) or have their purchase refunded.
If inclement weather is forecasted, please check your email, our social media channels, or our website for updates. If weather conditions force a cancellation, guests will be offered a choice of rescheduling or refunding their ticket(s).
Tickets may be rescheduled with 24 hours advance notice. Sunday – Thursday tickets may be rescheduled for another Sunday – Thursday; Friday or Saturday tickets may be rescheduled for a Friday or Saturday.
No tickets may be rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice. There are no exceptions.
ALL REQUESTS TO RESCHEDULE SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO reschedule@historicphiladelphia.org. Please include your order number and the requested new date/time. No phone calls please.
If conditions force a cancellation of the Festival, ticket-holders will be notified via email. In the event of a cancellation, ticket-holders have the option to request a refund or to reschedule their tickets for a comparable day.
